5 Easy Easter Crafts to Do With Your Kids

Easter is coming! Delicious food, Easter baskets, nests for Easter eggs, and family reunions (we hope so) are fast approaching, so this is a great time to get your little helpers and try some Easter DIY crafts.

Today we’re sharing some ideas to get your home Easter-ready and make some precious memories with your loved ones.

Salt Dough Flower Eggs

You probably already have all the ingredients for our first Easter craft. In a few easy steps, water, salt, flour, and vegetable oil will become unique Easter ornaments.

The first step is to heat water until it’s warm, but not boiling. Then add 1/2 cup salt and 1/2 cup warm water to a large bowl. Mix, mix, mix! Salt has to be fully incorporated. Here you can also add some color (food coloring) to your dough if you’d like.

Now it’s time for the flour. Add 1 cup all-purpose flour and mix until the dough is crumbling. Add 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil and knead for a few minutes. Form the dough into a ball and cover with plastic wrap. Now it’s time to rest for 10 minutes. The dough, not you, unfortunately.

Roll out the dough and cut out egg shapes (or any other shape your little ones are into) and make a small hole for hanging. Bake at a low temperature for about 2 hours or let air dry overnight. After that, let your kids’ imagination work its magic.

Paper Plate Easter Wreath

Personalize your door with the paper plate Easter wreath. All you need is some paper, white cardstock, crayons, watercolors, paintbrush, white yarn or string, scissors, glue, some ribbon, and you’re ready to go.

Except for the adorable looks, this Eater craft can also help your kid(s) with their motor skills and practicing how to hold scissors, in a fun way.

We bet no one in the neighborhood will have the same one!

Easter Bunny Treat Cups

You’ll need very basic ‘equipment’ for these precious Easter Bunny treat cups.

Take a cup and cover it with (white) paint. While it’s drying, draw and cut out bunny ears and whiskers on a piece of paper. Cut out a bunny nose and inner ears on cardstock and glue them to construction paper ears.

Glue the ears to the back of a cup and whiskers to the front. Then place the nose on top of the whiskers. Draw eyes and mouth with some markers and that’s it!

Well, almost.

We can’t forget the main attraction of this Easter craft – candies! Fill the treat cup with some chocolate deliciousness and enjoy precious time with your little ones.

Detailed instructions are available in this video tutorial.

Egg Carton Bunny

Put your old egg cartons in use and get your kiddos ready to paint, cut and glue!

Cut two egg compartments and create a flat top by cutting off any excess. Then tape them together in one place and paint the cartons. Cut bunny ear shapes and start assembling everything together when the paint dries.

Add the eyes, pom pom for the nose, draw some whiskers, and you’re done!

Get some small candies or chocolate eggs, put them inside and use them as a decor on your spring table. Great idea, right?

You can find the video tutorial.

Popsicle Stick Chicks

The last Eater craft we have for today is a popsicle stick chick!

These yellow chicks are a great addition to your Easter/spring decor and will certainly brighten up your space. Use the popsicle sticks to create the body of the chick, cut out the wings and legs and get the party started.

We’re sure your kids will enjoy it!
