  1. Sugar Cookies: Roll out sugar cookie dough and your favourite Easter themed cookie cutters. Create adorable bunny or eggs cookies, or even bake some carrot shaped cookies. Decorate with icing for a festive touch. Emily says: Go big or go home. If you are not using sprinkles or glitter, what are you even doing.
  2. Carrot Patch Cupcakes: Bake your favorite cupcakes and decorate them with green-tinted frosting to resemble grass or crushed cookies to recreate grass. Then, use candy carrots or fondant to create a cute carrot patch on top. Emily prefers this receipe from Jane’s Pattisserie because it uses chocolate coated strawberries and food coloring. She would color every food possible if I allowed her.
  3. Chocolate Easter Nests: Melt chocolate and mix it with crunchy cereal like Rice Krispies or Cornflakes or even shredded wheat. Form the mixture into nest shapes and add candy eggs for a fun and tasty Easter treat. Be prepared, it might get messy, but that makes it even more fun for the little ones.
  4. Hot Cross Buns: Get the kids involved in kneading and shaping dough to make these traditional Easter buns. Emily and the baby both enjoy working and playing with dough, making this a real family experience. Add dried fruit and spices for a deliciously fragrant twist.
  5. Easter Egg Rice Krispie Treats: Shape Rice Krispie treat mixture into eggs using plastic Easter egg molds. Decorate with icing and colorful sprinkles for a festive touch.
  6. Bunny Butt Cupcakes: Bake cupcakes and frost them with green frosting for grass. Then, use marshmallows, coconut flakes, and candy to create adorable bunny butts on top. Half of the marshmallow package disapears before we even start baking, which is why this is one of our favourites.
  7. Easter Egg Cake Pops: Crumble cake scraps and mix with frosting to form balls. Dip them in colorful candy melts and decorate to look like Easter eggs using icing and sprinkles.
  8. Bird’s Nest Cookies: Make thumbprint cookies and fill the center with chocolate for nest and candy eggs. Surround the eggs with shredded coconut to create edible bird’s nests. If you are feeling more adventureus, you can use frosting as in the receipe from The fresh man cook.
  9. Easter Egg Pancakes: Whip up a batch of pancakes and use egg-shaped cookie cutters to create Easter-themed pancakes. Set the table with syrup, fresh fruit, chopped nuts and chocolate chips and let the kids decorate the pancakes for a delightful breakfast treat.
  10. Chocolate-Dipped Peeps: Dip colorful marshmallow Peeps in melted chocolate and let them set on wax paper. Once hardened, these sweet treats are ready to enjoy!

These tasty Easter treats are not only delicious but also a great way to spend quality time together as a family. So put on your aprons, gather your ingredients, and get ready to create some sweet memories this Easter season!
