Whether you are back at work because you are trying to have a career or you had to go back because of financial reasons, you will definitely agree with me that work life balance is not a simple task. Even if you are a mom (or dad) working from home, like me, you will often feel that you just can’t handle everything. Work and family life just keep interfering with each other and it just seems like you can’t get the balance you want. Well, I guess that is just a modern motherhood.

What was really surprising for me is that only 13 percent of moms feels guilty because they work. I thought the number would be much higher since I’ve heard from lots of friends that they feel like a bad mothers because they are going back to work after having a baby.

I work from home and I often feel judged because my daughter is going to the kindergarten. Lots of people think that she should stay at home with me. While I am working. Wow. How would that look like? I am working from home, that doesn’t mean that I am not working. Regardless, I want to get some balance in my life and this infographic just read my mind with work life balance tips!

  1. Love this! We take it a step further and actually put our kids in the clothes they will wear to school the next day right before they go to bed. It’s amazing what this little thing does in terms of being a time saver in the morning.

My daughter will be 2 in June, and she’s been home with me since she was born and I’ve worked from home the whole time, so I can definitely speak to the juggling act that is work-life balance! And, she’ll be starting school 2 days a week in the fall, so that should be an interesting experience for both of us. =)

  5. Dividing and conquering is always a good solution. I am lucky that I don;t have to work, so I think it’s easier for me to get things done since I am home.

    I am actually glad that only 13% of Moms feel that guilt. I actually wish for that number to get smaller because women who try to do the best they can for their families should not be judged. We should all just support each other. Life balance is difficult, but each person’s situation is different that I often feel there is no specific formula that is right. We just do our best in each situation and foster support from our community of women.
